Westmoreland Liberty Bell candy container This green glass Liberty Bell candy container was made by the Westmoreland Glass Company, circa 1920. Of the 6 nubby protrusions at the top, three are in tact and three are broken off. The bell is marked "Liberty Bell". In the center of the hanger area it is marked "Patent Apld For". Perfect except for the nubs as noted above. (H159)

Liberty Bell Creamer Manufactured by Gillinder, c. 1876 and produced for the Philadelphia Exhibition that year. 6 3/8" high, base to lip x 3 1/8" wide. This creamer has an elegant reeded handle in superb condition. There are minute clear glass impurities seen as tiny bubbles and wavy lines in the section to the right of the handle, between the "..RS" in years and the 1776 banner. (5888)

Columbus flask / medicine bottle A molded patent medicine bottle, this is 6 1/4" in length. This features a half figure of Christopher Columbus, holding a globe, with a ruffle around his collar. The flask, on the other side, has a clear oval medallion. A Columbian Exposition, 1892 - 1893 piece. This is in mint condition. (#4229)

Milk Glass Viking mustache cup This is rare piece of milk glass, in the Viking pattern. The bottom is marked "Patent Shaving Mug July 16, 1867". There is a Viking surrounded by beads, done in very high relief. Impressed around the rest of the mug, is a laurel wreath. Made by Hobbs Bruckunier. Excellent condition. (#4625)

Liberty Bell Covered Butter Gillinder made the Liberty Bell pattern for the 1876 Philadelphia Centennial. There is a 2 ½" section of chatter marks between the lip of the bottom rim and the flange, caused when removed from the mold. Three hair width light scratch marks appear on the butter base – each ¼" long. Perfect lid. 7 ¼" w x 5" h. (#5669)

1933 Chicago World's Fair Spoons This is a pair of souvenir spoons from the Chicago Worlds Fair - both are 5 7/8: long. One is dated 1934 and says "Official A Century of Progress Chicago 1933". The back says "Silverplate Green Duck Co. Chicago" and has a skyscraper on the band. The other spoon says "A Century of Progress 1933" and the handle says "Clara LU ' N' Em. The handle shows a picture of the Science Court. and is marked Winthrop silverplate. (#2188)

Columbian Expo Silk Ribbon This fabulous ribbon measures 7 1/4" long by 2 1/2" wide. This is a souvenir of the Worlds Columbian Exposition of 1892, in Chicago. It appears that at one time there may have been a sticker in the center of the ribbon, below the words "America 1492". There is no glue residue, but something was there. There are no tears, holes, or pulls to the silk, which remains in excellent condition. Colors are still very vibrant. (#950A)

Columbian Expo Libbey sunflower cup and saucer Made for the 1892-3 Columbian Exposition in Chicago, this is a frosted glass cup and saucer - one of many flower designs made by Libbey. Bottom of the saucer, in the center, is impressed with "1893" surrounded by "World Columbia Exposition". Saucer is perfect, with three visible bubbles between the layers of glass. The cup has one point missing with a 1/4" circular chip,and a 1/8" chip on the bottom rim of the cup. (3794)

Arranged by collecting category. All right hand pages have either color or black and white photos, with a short description and price on the left hand page. This is a great overview of specific items and collectibles from the Columbian Exposition. A 2 page typed price guide is included, hand lettered "Revised prices 1982-83". This is a representation of the story of the Creation, which includes a mention of the Flaming Sword, preventing man from returning into the Garden of Eden. Flame like impressions are in the base. Liberty Bell Bank Candy Container This has a 4" diameter and is 4 3/8" high. There is scrollwork and stippling on the inside top. It says 1776 and "Liberty". The back of hangar is marked "Pat Applied For". This is a nice light amber in color. This has a perfect slot in the top. The bottom has a small chip - the bottom closure is missing. Probably made for the Philadelphia Centennial - circa 1896. (#Z116)

Columbus and Washington Mug This political/historical glass mug features a bust of Columbus on one side and a bust of Washington on the other. These were made c.1893-94. Liberty Bell Bank - Proclaim Liberty This clear glass bank, with original slotted tin lid, measures 3 5/8" in height and 3 1/2" across the base. There is a shallow 1/4" chip at the top of the molded glass threading.

In an effort to squeeze as many words as possible on this bank, the maker's wrote "LEV. XXVXX". Also on the bank "Proclaim liberty throughout the land to all the inhabitants thereof". Just below that is "By order of the Assembly of the Province of PENNA. for the Statehouse in the Philada". The words "Pass and Stow" appear near the molded crack - under that "Philad. a" and under that "MDCCLIII". On the base are the words "Design patent pending" - in the center of the base there are two number "184" and "7". Probably circa 1876.
