McKinley Coasters Set of 3 paper coasters by the Container Corporation of America. These are 4" in diameter and made by using a corrugated cardboard center covered by top and bottom rounds. Two of these feature McKinley, and the other is an "unidentified local candidate.". Probably a special occasion issue of past presidents from the 1930’s or 1940’s. A bit of foxing on some of the backs. (CR11)

Columbia Amber Tray Maker unknown, c. 1890. This large shield shaped tray is 11 ½" l x 9 ½" w. The center depicts Columbia surrounded by 13 vertical bars with a star studded top. It was made in several colors. There is a 7/16" sliver along the left edge, a series of small tiny nicks along the top left angled edge and a ¼" chip on the underside next to Columbia’s nose.

Bryan E Pluribus Unum Plate Maker unknown, c. 1896. This 9" plate is rare. It features Bryan’s portrait framed by 13 stars. On his right shoulder is "Bryan and on the left "16 to 1" which referred to the Democratic demand for free coinage of silver at the ratio of 16 to 1 compared with gold. The forget-me-not border is missing one knob. (5941)

Bryan Covered Cup A covered cup, which some call covered mustards, manufactured by the US Glass Company in 1896 to promote the candidacy of William Jennings Bryan. Much more rare than the covered McKinley cup. His slogan "The People’s Money" appears above his head, and below the bust is written "Wm. J. Bryan".5" high with lid, 3 ½" without lid x 3 ½" d. Wheeling George Washington / Crest Tile Made by the Wheeling Tile Company, of Wheeling, West Virgina, this cool tile is a replica of the "George Washington Bookplate". So, all you librarians and bibliophiles need this! Measuring 6" square, this is done in a pressed raised line technique. Background is cream, the eagle and crown are in yellow, the crest is done in cranberry and gray, and the words are in brown raised line. The Latin words translate to "The result justifies the deed". Overall surface crazing - and one tiny flake on the top edge, circa 1950. Generally very nice. (#1025)

Classic Blaine Plate Classic was a product of the Gillinder Co. c. 1875. James E. Blaine ran as a Republican presidential candidate in the campaign of 1884 against Grover Cleveland. Frosted center. The detail is so fine that the slots for the buttonholes on Blaine’s lapels are clearly visible. This is the epitome of American mold making. 11 ½" diameter Pristine condition. (5425)

President Garfield Tumbler This is a thick walled tumbler with a medallion bust of President Garfield pressed into the base. He is framed by a Laurel Wreath, underneath which is printed "Garfield." Garfield was assassinated in 1881 and served as president for less than a year. 3 5/8" h x 3 ¼" d. Excellent condition. (5703)

Gillinder Washington paperweight This Washington paperweight has turned side and a beveled edge. It was sold at the 1876 Philadelphia Centennial and manufactured by the Gillinder Glass Company, one of the premier glass makers of the 19th Century. The paperweight is a bit more than 3" in diameter and 1 1/8" in depth. This has a frosted medallion Houdon bust in the center - and the piece has frosted sides as well. This is in very good condition. (#4105)
