Nekrassoff Copper Box Great hinged box, with a wooden lining, made by Serge Nekrassoff. Measures 5 ½" x 3 ½" – height is 2". Flower has a pewter center and the rest of the top is decorated with hand wrought copper. Circa 1940’s. Minor surface wear, minor bend to the right back corner of the lid – generally still in nice condition. Marked on bottom. (#T-1818)

Nekrassoff Pewter Box - Larger This nice box is 5 3/4" by 3 7/8" and is 2" high. This has a double entwined tulips / poppies applied to the lid. Inside is lined with wood. Stamped on the bottom. This has small raised feet.
Condition: box has a tiny little bend on one edge and one corner (minor though - see photos). Generally nice condition. (#T2068)

Low Art Tile Box This is an attractive wooden box with a J & JG Low Art Tile mounted in the top.
The tile is a green majolica glaze - 4 1/4" square, and has a copyright date of 1881. The base of the box is just shy of 5 1/2" square. Nice fitted lid. Dove tail construction with rounded corners. Both the box and the tile are in just lovely condition. (#T2072)

Virginia Pomade Jar Very few Early American Pattern Glass patterns have pomade jars. Virginia, also known as Banded Portland, was made by the US Glass Company, circa 1899. This covered piece measures 2" high (including lid) by 2 ¼" wide. Cover and jar in excellent condition. (#162X)

Nekrassoff Match Box This attractive holder for a match box measures 2 3/8" x 1 ½" by ¾" high. Crafted in pewter by Nekrassoff (but unmarked) – has his classic tulip decoration applied to the top. Condition is generally very good.

Pewter Arts & Crafts Box This small round pewter box has a nice impressed design in the lid. Measuring 2" in diameter and about 1/2" in total height. Impressed mark on the bottom of CHR. R. TIN KUNST. In excellent condition. (#T-1233)  

Art Deco Bakelite Folding Shaving Kit What a neat item! This is made of bakelite (it passed the hot water and 409 tests) and is a shaving kit, with a mirror, cup, brush and brush holder. This folds down for storage, travel, or just a better look. The top and inside is a bright yellow color, and the bottom is a swirling green and gold design. This measures 6 1/8" square and is 2 1/8" high (when folded). It’s 9 ¼" tall when open.

The cup for the soap is milk glass. The brush has a bakelite handle and badger hair bristles. The bottom of the brush is impressed with "Opal B206 Pure Badger sterilized trademark".

This Art Deco period kit is in generally very good condition. The milk glass cup has no chips - the brush looks near new, the mirror is excellent. The top layer of celluloid is starting to separate a bit. This can obviously be glued back so it’s snug. The bottom, green colored, piece shows some minor scuffing. To the left of the ring that holds the cup, there is a slight mark on the celluloid that is ¼" x ½". No discoloration on it, just a different feel. What a great gift for a man, or those who just love neat, weird Art Deco stuff! (#T-1811)
 

Antique Snuff Box Papier Mache Simple, elegant design on this mid 19th Century papier mache snuff box. Dark black color - hinged lid - oval shape. Measures 3 1/4" long by 2 1/4" high with a total depth of about 3/4". Minor wear - great smooth feel - in generally nice condition. (#T-1817)  

Annemarie Davidson Wood & Enamel Dresser Box This beautifully crafted dresser box was made in Sierra Madre, California by Annemarie Davidson. She has been making exquisite items since the late 1940's - age is unknown on this piece, but probably contemporary. The wooden box measures 6 3/8" long by 4 3/8" wide, and sits 1 1/2" high. This has a fabulous enameled lid, with three leaves on a branch. There is an original paper foil label on the bottom and a small original paper card inside. (The white dots on the enamel top are simply dust!) (#T-1860)  

Milk Glass Baseball Dresser Container Anchor Hocking made this milk glass container and it is marked. It has a locking lid. The diameter is 3 ¼". Perfect condition. (#5685)

Rolled Brass Box This 6 sided brass box could be used as a decorative accessory or as a dresser item. 3 3/4" long, 2 1/2" wide and about 2 1/4" high. Hinged at the back, impressed mark/number on the lid and on the body. Generally in attractive condition. Age and maker are unknown. Great for holding earrings, coins, or dresser items. (#T-1807)  

Nekrassoff Copper and Enamel Box This 5 1/2" by 3 1/2" by 1 3/4" high copper box has a variagated green and white enamel top. The box is lined in wood, and the inside of the hinged lid is black enamel. Made by the firm of Serge Nekrassoff, this is marked on the bottom. This is in generally very nice condition. Handbook of Cigar Boxes - Hyman Very nice out of print, hard cover book dedicated to cigar boxes of all types, and all things having to do with them. Written by Tony Hyman in 1979, this first edition book was published by Arnot Art Museum in Elmira, New York. 165 pp. The first sections cover wooden, metal, glass, plastic and cardboard cigar boxes. He spends a chapter discussing legal notices, and another on revenue stamps. Box trim, advertising labels and special brand are discussed in chapter form. Heavily illustrated with black and white photos, line drawings, sketches, and examples. A thoroughly intruiging book!

This is signed by the author and dated 6/1/96 by the author. This is #2718 of a limited edition of 3000 copies. Dust jacket has minor creasing at edges - interior pages are excellent. This comes with a separate 1996-1997 Cigar Box Price Guide printed by the author.
