Seldom seen, this is a wonderful piece of pottery made by the American Encaustic Tiling Co., of Zanesville, Ohio, ca 1920. This is an eagle with his wings spread - and he is hugging the outside edges of a shallow dish area. The high green glaze is simply wonderful, and pools heavily in the dish. This is 7 ½" across, 5 ¾" tall and about 4 ½" deep. Impressed circular AETCO mark on bottom. In excellent condition. (#T-1451) |
