These bookends are done in a gun metal black glaze, which has slight iridescence to it. They has a young child dancing with a garland, and a rabbit near the foot. The design is molded in very nice high relief. Made by the American Encaustic Tiling Company, of Zanesville, Ohio, probably circa 1925. There is one very tiny glaze break (<1/16") along the front edge of one bookend. Generally in very nice condition. (#T-1007) |
