This stove tile measures 7 3/4" wide by 8 1/2" high by 1/2" thick. The design, which is molded in medium and low relief, shows two stylized flowers flowing in a stippled background and a curvilinear design in the center. Done is a blue green majolica glaze. There are very shallow glaze flakes on the self framing edge, which have been previously touched up. This de-installed tile was made in Germany, circa 1890. Shows beautifully and would look fabulous framed. See the other two German stove tiles I have that compliment this one! (#T-1365)
Key Words: tiles Victorian parlor stove insert, antique
