This pattern glass pitcher was made by both the Portland Glass Company and the Canton Glass Company - and dates around 1880. Amber color, with a pressed handle, Dahlia pattern. There is a small internal glass defect (about 1/2") shown in the photo. This is a neat looking pitcher partly because the "bowl" part of the pitcher does not sit totally square on the foot, although the piece site perfectly flat on a table. One of those early quirks with glass making in the 19th century! (#4715)
