Silhouette items were popular in the 1930's, and Franklin Pottery, of Landsale, Pennsylvania capitalized on this theme by creating these designs in tile. Measuring 4 1/4" square, the design shows a Colonial man in front of a bench, tipping his hat. The background is semi matte glaze cream color and the design and self framing edge are done in a pink. In excellent condition. (#1465)
