This is an exquisite stove tile, with a center hole, showing a young girl with curly hair, wearing a frilly night cap. You can also see the ruffles from her collar. Made by the Providential Tile Works, Trenton, NJ, circa 1880 - marked PTW on back. Measures 2 1/16" in diam (across the back). Greenish, goldish, brownish mottled majolica glaze. Condition is excellent.
