This two piece chamber stick was made by Kayserzinn - Germany, circa 1915. Classic designs of thistle leaves and flowers flow around the inside of the base - in low relief. The handle design is another thistle leaf with a small flower bud just near the bowl. Impressed oval mark of "Kayserzinn 4144" on back. This low gloss pewter piece would have held a candle, and used to carry the light around with you. There is quite a bit of light surface scratching in the bowl part. However, because the design is so intricate, these are nicely subdued. Measures 9 1/2" long x 5 1/2" in diameter. Three molded feet on the bottom. (#T1611)
Key Words: Art Nouveau, Liberty of London, Jugendstil, Secessionist
