What makes this border tile so unusual is the mark. The Mosaic Tile Company, in Zanesville, Ohio, produced some terrific tiles - and this is a very nice heavy border tile, with a rope design, and semi matte green glazes. Measures 6" and sits 1" high - one minor glaze chip near one end.

The mark of the company is unusual - not the standard conjoined MTC logo - and one side bears hand written numbers. Circa 1920. (#1767)
