Titled "Made for New York: Antique Toys from The Lawrence Scripps Wilkinson Collection", this paperback was published in 1986 by the New-York Historical Society. Within its 80 pages, there is a 6 page essay on New York’s toys from 1875 - 1939. There are both color and black and white photographs, and a 6 page index of some toy manufacturers.
The groups of toys include circus, teddy bears, games, banks, trains, dolls, ships, Christmas and others. Some of the makers include: Alexander Doll Company, Francis Carpenter, Effanbee, Ideal Toy, Lionel, Moline Pressed Steel and many others. The book is in very nice condition with only some rubs to the front cover and extremely minor bending. Great photographs and nice text.
