This large fabulous ceramic tile plaque was made by Soholm, in Denmark, circa 1960's. Measuring 13 1/4" square, this depicts a man and a woman standing in a stylized horse - great bird on the "stern" of the rocking horse boat, and a cool sunflower comes up from the bow! Created with glazes that look like crackle glass, this was made using the cuenca (raised line) technique. Signed by the designer, Simou, on the front, lower right corner. In outstanding condition.
