This low standard open compote was made by Bakewell Pears & Co. c.1860. This Bakewell version is identified by the double row of flattened hobnails on the inside of the base. It is heavy, bell-toned flint. 8" d x 3 ¾" h. At the very center of the bowl there is an area of minor scuffing. Condition of scallops and base is excellent. (#5050)
