Manufacturer: as described
This piece stands 3 ¾" h x 3 ¼" wide at base. It reads " LEV XXV-X Proclaim Liberty Throughout the Land and to All the Inhabitants Thereof". Below that inscription, "Liberty Bell" and below that "1776." On the inside bottom " Pat. Apl’d For." Metz pictures this bell in "Much More Early American Pattern Glass", pg. 210. She attributes it as being made for the St. Louis Exposition in 1903. The pictured bell appears to have had a glass base in which it sat. The original gold goofus paint is very worn. Glass condition is excellent. (#G128)
