This small hexagonal tile has an exquisitely hand painted scene of a shepherdess and her flock. She is leaning on her staff while sheep graze in the background. Measuring 2 3/8" from point to point, this is executed on a Trent Tile Company blank. Made in Trenton, New Jersey, around 1890. Artist's initials on the back. Painted in shades of green with a white background, clear high glaze on the top. In outstanding condition. (#SMBxTrent)
