Made by the C Pardee Works, Perth Amboy, New Jersey - this 4 1/4" tile depicts Christopher Columbus. Done in the intaglio technique, with a high green glaze. C Pardee was in business from 1890 - 1928. This tile was probably made to commemorate the 1893-94 Columbian Exposition. Minor edge roughness. (#1337)
