Manufacturer: American tile company
This antique tile is molded in high relief, and was originally intended for use in a cast iron parlor stove of the period - circa 1880's. Unmarked, American - gold majolica glaze, measures 4 1/4". Small chips to the highest points along the hat brim and color - minor nips on the outside edges - generally very nice condition - nice large size for a stove tile. (#1437)
