This novelty dish was made and patented by Atterbury in 1878. It is 6" l x 4 ¼" w x 4 ¾" h minus finial, and about 6" h with finial. Under the bottom you will find" Pat Apr 23’ 78." The rim of the compote bottom has 3 tiny flat surface flakes. The raised portion of the lid which fits into the compote bottom, has a ¼" chip. Finial is perfect. (#4041)
