This 6" square tile was made by Maw & Company (England), circa 1900. The Art Nouveau design is spectacularly highlighted by the use of iridescent luster (aka lustre) glazes of oranges/golds/browns. This wonderful tile is shown on page 108 of the book "Fired Earth - 1000 Years of Tiles in Europe". This tile has a larger leaf wrapping up around the left side of the central flower. The companion tile to this, with the leaf wrapping around the left side, is also available. There's a minor amount of edge roughness to the upper right side of the tile - generally in excellent condition.
