Portland Glass Company, by Frank H. Swan – 1939, The Roger Williams Press, cloth bound, 127 pages, 9 ¼" h x 6 1/8" wide. Encompasses the history of the Portland Glass Company. Excellent black and white illustrations of the most famous Portland Glass patterns, such as Tree of Life, and Loop and Dart with Round Ornament. This is probably the first research work on Portland Glass, later research has discovered that some of Swan’s attributions are incorrect. The cover is marred with soft white scratches and staining. Top and bottom spine corners, and bottom cover edges are rubbed. Back and front inside cover papers are yellowed. Inside pages are on slick paper in very good condition. (#BkPortland)
