The Portland Glass Company made the Tree of Life pieces in silver plate frames, c. 1870. This is a very ornate frame. The band circling the spooner features continuous medallions of a peacock, deer running, wading bird, deer lying down, swan, deer standing. Partially covered by the frame is a rabbit, another deer and a fox. 6 ¼" h in silver plate frame x 3" w. Webster & Co. silver plate.
