Manufacturer: Mintons China Works
John Moyr Smith designed a series of tiles for Mintons China Works around 1870, called the Industrial Series (aka The Trades). There were 12 tiles in the series - which are sometimes hard to find. This early series was also adapted to desert dishes in brown on white transfer. This plate is "The Mason". Measuring 8 1/2" in diameter. It has 3 minor rim chips and light discoloration to the back of the dish. Generally, it is in very good overall condition. We also have 2 other plates in this series. (#T-1923)
