Manufacturer: Batchelder Tile
This Batchelder tile has a central pot or urn filled with three open flowers, each with a checked pattern - thick decorative self framing edge. Done in a matte light reddish tan finish, with a blue engobe in the recesses, this measures 5 3/4" square by 3/4" thick. It is design #35 in the Batchelder Tiles catalog. This de-installed tile has a very good front tile surface. Some slight mortar/grout in a couple of the recesses. The back clearly shows the de-installation and some remaining mortar. Circa 1920's.
