This Batchelder tile depicts a weird but interesting bird! Done in a matte gray to biege finish, with a blue engobe in the recesses, this measures 5 7/8" square by 5/8" thick. It is design #29 in the Batchelder Tile catalog. This de-installed tile has a good front tile surface, very minor chips to the back/side edges and some slight mortar/grout in a couple of the recesses. The back clearly shows the de-installation and some remaining mortar. Circa 1920's. This is mounted in a new wood frame - total size is 8 1/2" square - ready to go on your wall. (#4533-T-1200)
