This round paperweight tile was made by the Trent Tile Company of Trenton, New Jersey, circa 1890. The top reads "Trent Tile Co’s Porcelain Enamel Works No. 1354 Trenton, NJ U.S.A". The center says "Installations Rockeffer Inst. NY city , York & Sawyer Architects, St. Lukes Hospital NY City Ernest Flagg Architects, 998 5th Ave. NY City McKim, Mead & White Architects, and Wanamaker Store, Phil, O.H. Burnnam & Co Architects.". The bottom says " For all sizes of wall tile and trimmers".
Amazing and rare tile – measures 4 ¼" in diameter. Two side edge glaze chips. Unmarked on back. (#1589)
