This book is titled "Oil Lamps – The Kerosene Era in North America" by Catherine M. Thuro. Wallace Homestead, 1976, 352 pages, harbound, 8 5/8" x 11/14" out of print. Thuro is the acknowledged authority on Victorian Glass and composite lamps. This is the first of two volumes. Loaded with black and white illustrations of early flint glass and later non-flint glass. Shows finger lamps, stand lamps and early globes. Her descriptions of each lamp are short and to the point. Dust jacket has two 1" bottom tears on front and two ½" tears on the back – some wear on all edge. Bright and clean inside. Separate 1980 price guide included. (BkThuro)
