Pink is one of the rarest glaze colors found on antique tiles - and this particular color is lovely. The tile, done in intaglio technique, depicts a young girl with a blanket. There's a small "c" copyright symbol in the lower right corner. The self framing edge is raised in bullnose type relief. The maker of this wonderful tile is Hemixem, in Belgium, circa 1900. Minor wear to the top of the bullnose edge, and higher points on the tile face - small chip to bottom edge, and two really tiny chips on the right edge. Generally - this is in very nice condition. (#1045)
