Great hand made tile – made in the cuenca (raised line) technique. Measures 6" square x 5/8" thick. Depicts an oil lamp with a flame coming out of it – and a cross on the top. There’s a star in a circle with rays shininf left. This may be a religious symbol or from a particular fraternal organization. Semi matte glazes with metallic gold. Unknown maker and age – looks like it is American and probably around ca. 1920. Tiny glaze nip on lower left corner – generally in excellent condition. See the companion tile to this - #1154.
