Made to commemorate the University Outing Club at Rutgers University, in New Jersey. This round unglazed terra cotta tile measures 5 1/4" in diameter. The words and figure are molded in nice relief. Also says "founded in 1931", and depicts a man carrying a back pack and using a walking stick, with trees and rolling hills in the background. Age and maker are unknown- extremely well executed. The back is slightly curved. In excellent condition. (#1479)
