Great tile depicting a scene from Chaucer's "The Squire's Tale", from his Canterbury Tales.
This dust pressed tile was hand painted, underglaze by the firm of Packard & Ord (England), circa 1950's, and has the OR monogram near the bottom rightmost edge. This is done on a blank from the Rhodes Tile Company (marked Rhotico England). Packard & Ord inkstamp on the back. Measures 4" square. In very nice condition. (#1405)
