Shell and Tassel was made by Duncan & Sons, c. 1881. The pitcher is 8" high, base to lip x 5" wide. No chips on rim, base or handle. The top 2 ½" of the pitcher body and the base glass is clear. The remainder of the pitcher body, particularly on one side is very slightly cloudy glass and looks as if it may have been scrubbed horizontally with something like a steel wool pad. The overall look resembles an unwashed bottom half of the pitcher body. (5828)
