This is a fabulous and unusual trivet tile commemorating the 100th anniversary of an establishment called Doubleday – from 1789 – 1889. Made by Mintons China Works, England – this is 6 5/8" in diameter and is transfer printed brown on cream. The scene is a central store on a street – showing the stacks of books in the windows. There’s a carriage and 2 horses in front of the store and 2 people stand off to the side. In outstanding condition. (#T-1819)
