This pottery paperweight was made to commemorate the making of a mural for Carleton University (Canada). The mural was designed by Gerald Trottier - and was titled "The Pilgrimage of Man". The mural was produced by a combined effort of two Toronto companies - Connolly Marble, Mosaic and Tile, and Conn-Arts Studio. You can clearly see the figures on the paperweight doing the various tasks necessary to build a mosaic tile mural. This is just an outstanding piece of history. In excellent condition. Hexagonal - measures just under 4" from point to point - figures are raised. Original paper label on the back.
