Made by Royal Doulton and decorated by Doulton’s Robert Allen Studios, 1923. George Beatty was the founder of George Beatty & Sons, a large manufacturing firm in Fergus, Ontario, Canada. As early as 1900, they began to diversify from farm and stable equipment into pumps, washing machines and other product lines. This plate was probably produced to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the company (1874-1924). Excellent condition. (286E)
