Wonderful set of 18 tiles made by the American Encaustic Tiling Company, of Zanesville, Ohio - circa 1890. Each tile measures 3" square by 1/2" thick. Done in a goldish brown majolica glaze. Generally in very nice condition - minor wear. Great for a restoration project - a tile top table or as insets in a backsplash.(#1817-DAW)
