Maker unknown, c. 1896. This 9" plate is rare. It features Bryan’s portrait framed by 13 stars. On his right shoulder is "Bryan and on the left "16 to 1" which referred to the Democratic demand for free coinage of silver at the ratio of 16 to 1 compared with gold. The forget-me-not border is missing one knob. (5941)
