Manufacturer: Batchelder
Great Batchelder tile with a central design of three large round flowers in a footed pot (or urn). Nice floral and geometric border surrounds the design. Done in classic matte finish with reddish brown and blue (in the recesses), this tile was made by Batchelder, in Los Angeles, California, circa 1920. Measuring 5 7/8" square by 3/4" thick. The tile has obviously been de-installed and has minor remains of mortar on the back. Minor mortar in some recesses on the front. Generally in very nice condition. This is design #35 in the Batchelder tiles catalog. (#1923-4538)
