Great sailboat design on this vintage tile made by Taylor Tilery, of Los Angeles, California. The design is either a sailboat or a junk, with an island and a palm tree. This is a part of their line of Santa Monica Tiles. Done on a white clay dust pressed blank, they called these "novelty inserts" in one of their trade catalogs. Measures 4 1/4" square - circa 1930. Condition is excellent. (#2018)
