Manufacturer: Solon & Schemmel
This gorgeous bird tile was made by Solon & Schemmel, in San Jose, California, from 1926 - 1932. Measures just under 6" square and is a nice 5/8" thick. Semi matte off white background glaze, with 4 glaze colors on the body of this long tailed swallow type bird. Minor wear to glaze surface and a small nip to the lower right corner - generally in very nice condition. This would look superb in an Arts & Crafts Movement frame.(#1160)
