Manufacturer: Sandwich

Made by Sandwich, c. 1840. 9 ¾" d. The scallops on this octagonal dish are in amazingly fine condition, with just 2 underside chips, one of those on a corner. The central panel features 6 beehives, thistles and stars. On the border, bees alternate between acanthus leaves and scrolls. Very fine stippling. Perfect base rim. (6213)
