Federal's Colonial Fluted depression glass pattern is also called Rope because of the design around the rim. This is the 6 inch green sherbet or bread and butter plate. This has a nice feel to it with the simple design of geometric flutes or panels and the rope-like rim. Plate is 6 inches across from rim to rim and is in excellent condition with no chips or cracks. Wear is light. There are two points to know: There are strawmarks on the underside of the center of the plate and a mold flaw that is a 1/4 inch long groove.

Federal Thumbprint Green Depression Glass 4 inch 10 oz Tumbler
Here is the 4 inch tall tumbler in Federal Glass green depression Thumbprints pattern. This holds 8 ounces comfortably or about 10 ounces when filled to the brim. If you collect green depression glass you know how difficult it is to find tumblers in any pattern. Thumbprints is a nice design with the oval optic on the inside and it is simple enough that you could use it with many other patterns. Tumbler is 4 inches tall and 2 3/4 inches across at the lip. It is in excellent condition, with no chips or cracks. The lip has an uneven spot, not from any damage or repair, just part of the charm of depression glass.

Federal Glass Thumbprint Green Depression Glass Saucer
Here is a nice green depression glass saucer in one of the less common patterns, Thumbprint. Federal Glass' Thumbprints pattern is very similar to their Raindrops green depression glass, except the raised bumps are oval shaped. This is a nice depression glass pattern that isn't too common. It is marked with Federal's F in a shield. Thumbprint saucer is 5 5/8 inches across and has a raised ring to hold the cup in place. Saucer is in excellent condition, free of chips or cracks. Not surprising considering its age, the saucer has a little wear on the raised thumbprint ovals.
