Set 2 Fostoria Argus Green 6 1/2 Inch 10 oz Water Goblets
Fostoria made Argus under commission for the Henry Ford Museum in Dearborn, Michigan and it was a popular pattern in the 1960s and even early 1970s. It picked up on the colonial themes that were quite popular then. Originally Argus was made in the 1800s in crystal, so Fostoria was using a classic design for its colored line. This is a set of two (2) of the green water goblets. Some pieces are marked HFM for the museum and others were marked with paper labels. These goblets were not marked. Goblets are 6 1/2 inches tall and hold about 10 ounces. They both are in excellent condition, free of chips or cracks and without wear. This would be a good size and shape today. These shades of green are coming back into fashion and this would pick up many contemporary patterns as well.

Fostoria Cabot Dimple Optic #6025/1 Champagne/Sherbet
Fostoria's Cabot dimple optic was made for just a few short years, 1940 to 1943. It is a neat looking pattern, with its colonial styled stem shape combined with the appealing dimple optic. This would look good in today's homes as well. This is the 3 7/8 inch tall champagne or tall sherbet. Champagne/sherbet is 3 7/8 inches tall and 3 1/2 inches across. This is beautiful, gleaming crystal. Champagne/sherbet is in excellent condition, showing no chips, cracks, wear or cloudiness.

Fostoria 2183 Laced Edge Amber Cabarette Colonial Prism Bowl
Beautiful amber glass bowl with open work edge is Fostoria's number 2183 Colonial Prism amber cabarette bowl, dating from 1918 to 1927. Imagine this piece on your coffee table, shelf or sideboard. It is meant to be the centerpiece of your glass display. This bowl caught my eye at an estate sale because it is a rich glowing shade of amber gold - it just sparkles. My pictures do not do it justice. Caberette bowl is 11 1/2 inches across and about 3 inches tall at the highest. The underside base has a pressed star pattern. The lace work rim has open sections alternating with thumbprint indented ovals. Not only is this a choice piece of older Fostoria glass, this bowl is in great condition. There are no chips, no cracks, minimal wear, and excellent clarity. This is a piece of vintage art glass you'll cherish and love to display!

Fostoria Contour Elegant Glass Crystal Large Size Creamer
Fostoria's Contour elegant glass has the stylized good looks we expect from the 1950s. This has looks galore with its simple applied handle, streamlined curvaceous shape, solid heft. Scandinavian glass was the rage in the late 50s and Contour has that look. This is the larger size creamer. Please be aware that there are two creamers, the smaller individual size and this one. This creamer is 3 1/4 inches tall when you measure to the top by the handle and a little over 3 1/2 inches tall by the spout. Creamer is in excellent condition. The only points to note are a bit of wear on the very edge of the ground base rim and a raised circular strawmark on the interior. Otherwise there are no chips or cracks and wear is light.

Fostoria Contour 1950s Flared Crystal 13.5 inch Curled Up Torte Plate
This is a very unusually shaped torte plate with its swinging curves and upward tilts. The pattern is Contour, first made in the 1950s - and you could tell that just by the modernistic shape so typical of the mid-century design! Torte plate is 13 1/2 inches across and is Fostoria's heavy crystal with a ground base rim. Plate is in very good condition, free of chips or cracks. There is moderate wear. This piece is odd shaped and will take a large box that incurs a surcharge from the post office; if you live far then UPS may be a more economical shipping method for you. Fostoria Sunray Crystal Tricorn 1-Handle 5 inch Nappy
Fostoria made Sunray, line 2510, from 1935 to 1944 and it has classic good looks that work well in today's simpler styles. This is the tricorner nappy, a small 3-sided bowl with a handle. You would use this for small servings, candy or just for decoration. It would be very nice to float a small gardenia to chase away those winter doldrums. Nappy is 5 3/4 inches long from the tip to the back of the handle and about 1 7/8 inches tall. It is in very good condition with excellent glass clarity and no scratches. The sawtooth rim feels rough in spots. I examined this carefully and found mostly just raised seams but there were a few very tiny - well under 1/32 inch and shalow - nicks on the inner rim. There is also a shallow 1/16 inch nick in the side of the outside rim. None of these show up when you look at the piece but you should know before bidding.

Pair Fostoria #2324 Amber 4 inch Round Candlesticks
Fostoria's amber glass is a gorgeous deep color, not yellow and not brown, just pure rich golden glass. This pair of candlesticks is line number 2324 and dates to the late 1920s. These candleholders are the same color as the Pioneer amber and would go well with that pattern. You are buying a pair of candleholders, both the same. You can see these in Fostoria, the First 50 Years, by Hazel Weatherman on page 210. Candleholders are 4 5/8 inches across on the base and about 3 inches tall. Both candleholders are in excellent condition with no chips or cracks and almost no wear whatsoever. Glass is beautifully transparent. You'll love this set!
