Hocking Burple Crystal 8 1/2 Inch Vegetable Bowl
Burple is a neat late depression pattern by Hocking Glass. It has swirls and dots and a nice scalloped edge. All in all it is a pretty pattern and the bowl is a nice piece of glass.
Bowl is 8 1/2 inches in diameter and 3 inches deep. It is in excellent condition with no chips, no cracks and no wear. There are straw marks on the exterior.

Fortune Pink Ribbed Depression Glass 4 inch Low Fruit Bowl
Fortune is a super little pattern in pink depression glass from Hocking. This was made in the last few years of the depression, from 1937 to 1938 and closely resembles other Hocking patterns from the same era, especially Pillar Optic and Old Cafe. You can tell them apart because Fortune alternates one V-shaped wide rib with a narrow V-shaped rib.
Here is the shallow, 4 inch wide berry bowl. Bowl is 4 inch across at the top and just under 1 1/2 inches deep. It is in very good condition with one shallow rough spot the size of a sharp pencil tip on one outside rib and a narrow pinhole nick on the rim just big enough to catch your fingernail when inspecting very closely.

Fortune Pink Depression Glass 1 Tab Handle 4 1/4in Bowl
Fortune Pink 1 tab handle bowl is 4 1/4' across, not counting the handle, and about 1 1/2' deep. This is a cute style with the squared off tab handle that complements the geometric design. Bowl is in fairly good condition. There are no cracks. There are 4 chips in the scalloped top rim. These range in size from the rounded top of the small inbetween rib scallop to one side of the larger rib scallop.

Oyster & Pearl Crystal Depression Glass Oval Relish
Doesn't this relish dish sparkle in the light? This is Oyster & Pearl crystal depression glass from Hocking. Hocking made Oyster & Pearl in a variety of colors and in crystal; as you can see the clear glass of the crystal has a lot of appeal. This is the 10 inch long divided oval relish dish. Actual dimensions are 9 3/4 inches long without measuring the handles, 11 7/8 inches with measuring the handles, 7 1/2 inches wide and 1 5/8 inches deep. Relish is in excellent condition, free of chips or cracks. As you can see in the photo the glass is clear and bright.

Looking for the water tumbler in that old reliable Pillar Optic pink depression glass? This design is simple yet effective, vertical rounded ribs on the outside of the tumbler below a flat smooth top. This feels great in your hand and will look good on your table. Tumbler is 4 inches tall and 2 7/8 inches across at the rim. This is the size for water, which holds about 9 ounces filled to the brim. Tumbler is in excellent condition with no chips or cracks, good clarity and sparkle and minimal wear. The only point to note is a bit of wear on the top rim where it looks like a previous owner stored the tumbler upside down. It is pretty insignificant but you should know about it. Hocking Glass Prismatic Line 979 Swirl Rib Pink 3-Toed Bowl
This is one of my favorite pieces of pink depression glass and it is a beauty. The design is made of swirled ribs that look like they will criss cross each other but never do. The three little feet are textured with verical ribbing at the toop that end in smooth little slippers. And the color! Hocking made an excellent pink during the depression - clear pretty pink - with no trace of blue, brown or yellow. This would be a wonderful gift for someone who likes pink depression glass or who enjoys having pretty things in their home. The pattern name is Prismatic, Line number 979, also called Swirl Rib and it was made about 1941. (Thanks to Gene Florence's Pattern Guide Volume 2 for the identification.) I've seen it in pink and in clear and it is beautiful in clear and wonderful in pink. Bowl is 9 3/4 inches across and 21/2 inches tall. It is in like new condition, free of any chips, cracks or signs of wear. Go ahead and treat yourself to this classic beauty!

Hocking Ring Banded Rings Green Depression Glass Cup
Here is the cup in one of the older green depression glass patterns, Hocking Glass' Ring or Banded Rings. This has an interesting vertical optic on the interior and two groups of three bands or ribs each running horizontally on the outside. It is a neat pattern with an art deco flair. This is the true depression glass, dating from 1927 to 1933. Cup is 3 3/4 inches across and 2 1/4 inches tall. It is in great condition, with no chips, no cracks and no wear. There are the usual little bobbles that give depression glass its charm; in this cup there are small bits of extra glass just under the rim.

Spiral Green Footed Sherbert
Depression glss sherbert is from Hocking Glass and is a rich green. This is the Spiral pattern, which was one of the earliest Depression designs. Sherberts were originally among the better selling shapes for stemware; today we would use this for fruit cups, or yoghurt, as well as the original sherbert!
