Like most of the pieces, Mayfair cup is squarish and has panels with the design on four sides. It is nicknamed Open Rose for the wide open cabbage roses in the motif.

Mayfair Pink Open Rose Depression Glass 37 oz 6 inch Pitcher Hocking Offered as the finishing touch to your Mayfair collection is this wonderful square pitcher. This is the authentic depression glass with a circular mold mark on the base and a nice straight handle. Buy with confidence! Hocking made four distinct pitchers in pink Mayfair - it had a long production run, from 1932 to 1939 - and this is the smallest size and it does not have an ice lip. Mayfair is called Open Rose to honor the pattern of two wide open roses on each side.

Pitcher is just a hair under 6 inches tall and holds 37 ounces filled to the very brim. (You would most likely fill it to about 30 ounces for use.) It is in excellent condition with no chips, no cracks and virtually no wear. Glass has good clarity. The only point to be aware of is the seams on the handle are slightly raised, as is common but there is no damage.
