Green Depression 3 1/2 Vaseline Green Candleholder
Lovely candle holder glows under a black light with the rich true vaseline green. It is a medium light green in regular light. Holder is 3 1/2 inches wide at the base and is in mint condition with no cracks, chips or signs of wear. As is common with depression glass you can feel the seams.

Cambridge #1 Opal Crucifix 9 5/8 inch Candleholder White Glass
Very old candleholder has been identified as Cambridge #1 based on size and shape of the base and candle cup. Candleholder is just over 9 1/2" tall and the hexagonal base is just over 3 3/4 inches across. The candle cup is hexagonal inside an octagonal fluted exterior. The arms of the cross are 2 5/8 inches across. We referenced the appendix in volume 3 of Felt & Stoer's The Glass Candlestick Book to identify this as Cambridge. The candleholder is not marked. Volume 1, under Cambridge, describes this as having a vine on the back of the cross, noting this is sometimes very faint or missing on the opal glass versions. There is no vine on this one nor is the INRI plaque above Christ's head. Candleholder is white glass, called opal in this older ware and is heavy. It is in extremely good condition, with no chips or cracks. The interior base seam is rough due to blobs of extra glass as is the seam around the very base outside. Assuming our identification is correct, this was made sometime after 1908. This is an older piece of glass that you will be proud to own and display.

Fostoria Chintz Flower Etch Cornucopia 4in Candlestick
Beautiful candlestick has a delicate flower etch on the base with roses and leafy sprays. This is the cornucopia-shaped candlestick from Fostoria with the ever-popular Chintz etching. Fostoria cataloged this pretty floral design as etch number 338 and produced it from 1940 to 1976. Luckily for us, Fostoria knew this was a winner and gave it an easy name: Chintz. The candleholder gets its cornucopia shape from three gracefully sweeping petals on each side that meet in a tight scroll. The petals unfurl to hold the candleholder. One Fostoria Vesper Etch Green 2394 3 inch Tall Candleholder
Here is a gorgeous single candleholder in Fostoria's Vesper etch number 275 on green elegant depression glass. This is the 3 1/8 inch tall size with a single wafer stem. One candlestick is beautiful and if you choose to buy two, a pair like this would be magnificent! The etch is on the underside of the wide foot, making it large enough. Candleholder is elegant glass, dating from 1926 to 1933, about 80 years ago. During that era a prized decoration was to combine two candles flanking a console bowl; the combination would have gone on a hall table or console table in the dining room, or used as a centerpiece. If you want to replicate that elegant look, you'll want to get two of these candleholders and check our other listings for the matching rolled rim console bowl which is sold separately.
