Shirlett's Story - Beautiful Seneca First Lady Goblets
I lived in Morgantown, WV as a child and visited Seneca several times, always fascinated to watch the artistry of hand-blown glass The story continues: The glasses arrived yesterday, 3-11-09 a day later than the UPS e-mail had said, and my heart sank when I saw the box with one top-end smashed in. Looking closer I could see the box had been re-taped heavily and moisture was trapped under the clear tape covering the entire top and sides. It did not rain in our neighborhood yesterday so I took some pictures of the box before I began opening it. The top-end of the box was so soaked even the packing paper inside was wet, as were your business cards making them illegible from the bleeding ink. However, due to the excellent packing around each goblet all nine are unharmed and beautiful!! Thanks so much! And I do not mind if you use my story, visiting Seneca Glass Factory was always fascinating. I recently purchased a book about the history of the company with pictures of the various patterns made and I'm still fascinated!!

Kathy's Story - Beautiful Rose Point from Cambridge Glass
My parents received Rose Point glass for their wedding in 1945 and slowly the pieces dwindled over the years. When they died we decided to honor their memory by buying Rose Point crystal for ourselves. This candle is our first purchase!

Monongah Glass - A Family Memory
Karen R bought Monongah Roseland and Secretaries Primrose stemware. Glass from Monongah is a family memory for Karen. My grandmother worked at Monongah Glass for a short while. She told me she was under age at the time (born in 1903), but lied about her age and was hired. I don't think she worked there long, but was there about 1919 or so. The photo comes from Karen and shows the stems she found in a box. So many of you tell me about your family having wonderful memories that vintage glass brings back. Thank you all and to Karen R for sharing her memories of her grandmother.
