Nice green depression glass dinner plate is mold etched with a center medallion design and a flower band around the rim. This lovely depression pattern is Georgian by Federal Glass, also called Lovebirds and was made 1931 to 1936. Please note there are two styles of Federal Georgian, this one with the center medallion and rim and no birds or baskets, and another that has the bird and basket design. Both versions are accepted as part of the Georgian pattern.

Hocking Princess Pink Depression Glass Square Butter Dish Set Looking for your Princess pink depression glass butter dish? Here we are with the rounded dome lid and interesting recessed base and with free US shipping how can you go wrong?

Butter dish base has tab handles and a deeply inset center section, almost like a shallow bowl. Like all the Princess plates it is square with the corners cut off and scalloped and the scroll and swag design is all around the rim. The lid is round with the scrolls and swags all around the top ending in dangling tassles.

Butter dish bottom is 6 5/8 inches across not counting the handles and 7 1/2 inches wide from handle tip to handle tip and is just under 1 1/4 inches tall. Best of all, butter bottom (try saying that fast three times) is in excellent condition with no chips, no cracks, and very little wear. As we expect with depression glass there are little manufacture flaws, including some extra bits of glass on the rim, straw marks and a small wrinkle about 1/4 inch long on the rim.

Domed lid is also in excellent condition with no cracks and the only nick is about 1/16 long and shallow on the very top edge of the finial. One side of the finial by the seam is worn smooth and may have been sanded (the previous owner told me no damage). The edge of the rim feels a little rough due to raised seam and this is shown in the close up.

This is the footed candy jar in Hocking Glass' lovely Princess pattern and offered with free US shipping. Pretty candy dish is a square shape with a round center that is raised off the table with a pedestal foot. The lid has a tall grooved finial to give the finishing touch.

Candy jar is a little over 5 inches tall without the lid and 8 1/2 inches tall with the lid. It's getting so hard to find depression glass in as good condition as this piece. The base has no chips, no cracks and virtually no wear. Normally these pieces get nicks on the inner rim and this one is not nicked; the seam is raised with some extra blobs of glass but no damage. Lids can get pretty beat up from people taking them off and banging against the side and let's look at what damage there is. It is small but you should know before buying. The lid has a 1 inch long rough spot on the side of the rim where the raised edge seam got scuffed with one shallow nick on the center of that scuffed spot. The finial has no damage although the points on the bottom of the grooved section are pointed enough that I had to check them several times. The only place where there is damage worth concern is on the inside edge of the flange that goes inside the base. There are several nicks on this, ranging from 1/64 to 1/8 inch long, mostly quite shallow and small. Of course you don't see these.

If you are looking for a mint candy jar then you won't want this one, but if you will enjoy having a piece in excellent condition that you can use without worrying about that very first nick, then here's the candy jar for you!
