1358

The Hardy Boys Series, The Tower Treasure, Book #1, A From the wonderful The Hardy Boys book series written by Franklin W. Dixon and published by Grosset & Dunlap. This is book #1, 'The Tower Treasure'. It has the desirable 'blue binding' (turquoise blue), and is a hardcover edition without dust jacket (as sold). We believe this to be a 1960s edition of this book, and has a copyright date of 1959 and tan/brown/white pictorial inner cover pages. Book measures 5 3/8 x 7 5/8 inches. We have a second copy of this book with a slightly different cover heading which we are listing as "B".

We actually have 30 of these hard cover "blue binding" Hardy Boys books (including multiple copies). The books appear to come from different editions of this set, based on slight differences in their covers. The books are all being sold separately; you can buy the one you need to complete your collection, or several to start one!

This #1 book is an updated version of the original 1920s issues. On the back of the title page it states, "In this new story, based on the original of the same title, Mr. Dixon has incorporated the most up-to-date methods used by police and private detectives."

The condition of this #1 book is very good. It has been read or used and is not mint, but still in good shape. There is edge wear and corner bumping or wear on the outside covers, and other small dirt, wear spots or rubbing including slight dirt/darkening on the outer edge pages, but nothing bad or unexpected. The inside is nice and clean. A highly usable, nice reading copy.

The Hardy Boys Series, The House on the Cliff, Book #2, B From the wonderful The Hardy Boys book series written by Franklin W. Dixon and published by Grosset & Dunlap. This is book #2, 'The House on the Cliff'. It has the desirable 'blue binding' (turquoise blue), and is a hardcover edition without dust jacket (as sold). We believe this to be a 1960s edition of this book, and has a copyright date of 1959 and tan/brown/white pictorial inner cover pages. Book measures 5 1/8 x 7 5/8 inches. We have two other copies of this book with slightly different cover headings/conditions which we are listing as "A" and "C".

We actually have 30 of these hard cover "blue binding" Hardy Boys books (including multiple copies). The books appear to come from different editions of this set, based on slight differences in their covers. The books are all being sold separately; you can buy the one you need to complete your collection, or several to start one!

This #2 book is an updated version of the original 1920s issues. On the back of the title page it states, "In this new story, based on the original of the same title, Mr. Dixon has incorporated the most up-to-date methods used by police and private detectives."

The condition of this #2 book is acceptable. It has been read or used and is not mint. While overall very readable, we need to note that with this book, while all pages are there, the outer edge binding on the inside has been pulled away from much of the book, likely from having been opened too far when being read. Pages are still all attached to each other, but in two separate groupings (start through 32, then 33 through the end), with each grouping attached to it's associated front inner or back inner cover. There is also edge wear and corner bumping or wear on the outside covers, and other small dirt, wear spots or rubbing including slight dirt/darkening on the outer edge pages, but nothing unexpected. The inside is nice and clean except for the break between pages 32 and 33 previously stated.

The Hardy Boys Series, The House on the Cliff, Book #2, C From the wonderful The Hardy Boys book series written by Franklin W. Dixon and published by Grosset & Dunlap. This is book #2, 'The House on the Cliff'. It has the desirable 'blue binding' (turquoise blue), and is a hardcover edition without dust jacket (as sold). We believe this to be a 1960s edition of this book, and has a copyright date of 1959. Supporting this is the fact that in this book a former owner has written in script in blue ink on the upper corner of the inside first page opposite the inside cover, a boy's name and "Christmas 1962". This book has the tan/brown/white pictorial inner cover pages. Book measures 5 1/8 x 7 5/8 inches. We have two other copies of this book with slightly different cover headings/conditions which we are listing as "A" and "B".

We actually have 30 of these hard cover "blue binding" Hardy Boys books (including multiple copies). The condition of this #2 book is pretty good. It has been read or used and is not mint, but still in good shape. There is edge wear and corner bumping or wear on the outside covers, and other dirt, wear spots or rubbing, particularly a lot of white rubbed spots on the blue of the back cover. The front cover & bound side edge has an aged, old, somewhat dirty look to us. There are some dirt/dirt spots on a few inner pages, including on the table of contents page, and dirt/spots on the outer page edges. Nothing unexpected for an older book. A highly usable, reading copy.

The Hardy Boys Series, The Secret of the Caves, Book #7, B From the wonderful The Hardy Boys book series written by Franklin W. Dixon and published by Grosset & Dunlap. This is book #7, 'The Secret of the Caves'. It has the desirable 'blue binding' (turquoise blue), and is a hardcover edition without dust jacket (as sold). We believe this to be a 1960s/1970s edition of this book, and has a copyright date of 1964 and white with black line pictorial inner cover pages. Book measures 5 1/8 x 7 5/8 inches. We have a second copy of this book with a slightly different cover heading which we are listing as "A".

We actually have 30 of these hard cover "blue binding" Hardy Boys books (including multiple copies). The books appear to come from different editions of this set, based on slight differences in their covers. The books are all being sold separately; you can buy the one you need to complete your collection, or several to start one!

The condition of this #7 book is very good. It has been read or used and is not mint, but still in good shape. We need to note that on the front cover you can see two areas that appear dirty in a squarish shape above the head of the boy on the right. These look to us to be the remains of glue from a price sticker which a former owner must have removed (but the spots are smooth, not gummy). There is also edge wear and corner bumping or wear on the outside covers, and other small dirt, wear spots or rubbing including slight dirt/darkening on the outer edge pages, but nothing bad or unexpected. The inside is nice and clean. A highly usable, nice reading copy.

Circa: 1964
