Multi-colored Murano Glass or Italian Art Glass Basket
This is a different piece than the Murano Glass or Italian Glass or Italian Art Glass bowls most frequently seen. We call this a Murano basket, although the two curled top handles don't join together to form one handle like a basket usually has. The pictures give a good shape description on this one and reflect the coloring well, with it's swirled circular line pattern at the center radiating out to blue at the pointed edges. Measures about 10 1/4 inches in greatest length and about 8 inches in greatest width (from point to point across the handle side), and sitting about 4 1/4 inches to topside of handles. We've provided 5 views to show from different angles and close-ups of central coloring. The white triangles on the close-ups and other white "hot spots" in the photos are reflections from the camera lighting on the glossy surface. The underside of the basket is a rounded ribbed molding creating the line rays which you can see from the topside. This piece dates from the 1950's and is very heavy in weight, as these pieces usually are. Very lovely condition but not mint. There are some tiny, tiny flakes/chips along the edges of the underside base on which the piece sits as well as expected scratches from age sitting here. Elsewhere there are some spots on the underside with scratches, rubbed lines, perhaps some tiny surface chipping...a bit of wear. On the topside there is a little bit of wear we saw but nothing bad at all and you have to look close. A fun piece and very colorful.

Lovely Murano Glass Bowl or Italian Art Glass Bowl
Angular, flowing red glass Murano bowl (also referred to as Italian Art Glass Bowl), kind of oblong/diamond shaped, with upward curled indentation/handle on one side and downward curled/pointed on opposite side, having 4 half circle raised curled "handles" on underside, with underside slanting downwards towards a smaller round base on which the piece sits. The bowl is roughly 7 inches long from the point to curled top outer edge and 7 5/16 inches wide across the other dimension and sits about 3 inches in greatest height. There are bubbles throughout the glass. This piece dates from the 1950's and is very heavy in weight, as these pieces usually are. Nice shape overall but not mint, with some small chips/indentation chips in the glass on the underside base and underside base edges and a tiny bit of scratching on interior topside.
